The Position: One full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor available to begin in Fall 2010. The Cinema and Digital Arts department offers an undergraduate cinema production program and screenwriting program, which focuses on narrative storytelling and stresses collaboration and specialization. The Cinema and Digital Arts department has over 180 full-time students and is part of Point Park University’s Conservatory of Performing Arts, along with departments in Theatre and Dance. The successful applicant will teach introductory, intermediate and advanced editing courses for both screenwriting and production students. Special consideration will be given to candidates with a background editing in the narrative format such as features, television and documentaries as well as for trailers, commercials and online content. Further, a background in sound design is desired. In addition to teaching, responsibilities include committee service, student advising, mentoring advanced projects, supervising internships and providing guidance for the direction of the editing and sound concentration.

ROLE OF THE POSITION
