The Carole Fielding Student Grants received a record 75 applications. This year’s jurors recognized four student projects for their achievement in student media production as evidenced by their proposals:
Memory Machine (documentary short) by Elana Meyers, Northwestern University
Object of Affection (narrative short) by Marygrace Navarra, Temple University
Reframing Mother (documentary short) by AshleighMcArthur, Stanford University
San Francisco of the South (documentary short) by Victoria De Leone, Wake Forest University
The UFVA sponsored Carole Fielding Student Grant supports production or research proposals. The grant is open to undergraduate and graduate students in film, media, and/or related fields. Applicant must be an enrolled student at the time the application is made. A faculty member who is an active UFVA member must sponsor the applicant. Categories are narrative, documentary, experimental, animation, new media, and research.
