CHICAGO In/Motion Chicago’s International Dance Film Festival returns to Chicago for its sixth annual celebration of dance performance on camera.  Hosted by Loyola University Chicago, the festival features screenings, workshops, panels and other event featuring dance on camera. This year’s festival takes place February 21 to 23. The festival was founded on the determination to foster innovative and interdisciplinary movement-based art, and this year will be no different.

In/Motion has issued its annual call for entries for short films featuring dance and movement from all over the world. Select films will be chosen for submissions for inclusion in the International Dance Shorts program and the Emerging Artist program, for first time and student filmmakers. All films are also eligible for awards, selected by a Grand Jury of past winners and dance film luminaries, and presented live at the 2020 festival. This year, In/Motion’s executive board will present the I/M Audience Choice Award, Social Justice Award, and Special Selection Grand Jury Awards.
