Dear Students,
Congratulations on the success of your student films! I am one of the programming coordinators for the Las Cruces International Film Festival. Last year’s festival had an attendance of over 30,000, including Academy Award winners Richard Dreyfuss and Graham Moore. Past guests include Brendan Fraser, Danny Trejo, Cybill Shepherd, Pam Grier, Johnny Galecki, Edward James Olmos and George Lopez. This year’s festival, which is March 3rd-7th, 2021, promises to be our best yet. I would like to invite you to submit your films to our festival. The Las Cruces International Film Festival is truly one of the best indie festivals in North America. All films screen in large state of the art digital theaters with warm and enthusiastic audiences. We fully expect our 2021 festival to be live and in person. It is one of the largest film festivals put on by a major university, New Mexico State University.
I hope you will submit your films and be part of our festival, as this is a chance to get your work out there and expose it to new people, and of course, a great opportunity to network with people in the industry. Both animated films and digital are welcome, and no film may be longer than 30 minutes. I hope to hear from you!
Deadlines to submit your student films are:
September 30 – Late Deadline
October 31 – Final Deadline
Use the waiver code LCIFF21.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I would be more than happy to answer them and work with you directly. You can contact me at: lciff.studentfilms@gmail.com
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Warmly,
Abigail Hunter
