Panel and Workshop Proposals for Discussions on Media

Discussions on Media panels and workshops will occur on April 7, 2020 from 1-5pm. The theme of the Wolverine Con is “We Are the 80s”. Panels and workshops can discuss how the 80s have become retro, from Stranger Things to IT and remakes call backs to 80s pop culture. The panels and workshops can highlight best practices and career development for media artists. Some of the topics may include best practices for equipment use, how to obtain an internship, pop culture influences, and what makes a great portfolio. Please be creative.

Proposals are due March 31, 2020 at 5pm PT. Submit proposals to the committee via email: lcuny@valleycollege.edu.

The following items must be included in your proposal.

1.     Name of Panelists

2.     School Affiliation if not from SBVC

3.     Proposal Title

4.     Short Description 100 words or fewer

5.     A Proposal Outline with talking points (1-Page double spaced, 12-point font, Times or Callibri).
