SR Socially Relevant Film Festival New York, is excited to announce its forthcoming seventh edition March 18-22, 2020 at Cinema Village and nearby venues in Downtown Manhattan. The festival’s seventh edition will showcase narrative feature films, documentary features, narrative shorts, documentary shorts from all over the world and a feature film script-writing contest. A range of workshops, industry panels and Q&A sessions with Production and Distribution companies, invited filmmakers and field experts are offered in parallel. SRFF has to date screened over 350 films from 35 countries. Prizes are awarded in all the categories. Many of the films screened have received distribution deals through our partners! The next deadline for submissions is November 14 and the FINAL deadline is December 14.
SRFF is non-profit film festival founded in 2013 by actress/filmmaker Nora Armani in a response to the proliferation of violence and violent forms of storytelling. SRFF has as its mission, the promotion of films that deal with socially relevant? film content to help promote positive social change.
