The next UFVA WIP Workshop will be held virtually thisSunday, June 27 at 7:30 PM EST. We are pleased to share a documentary feature with you.

The WIP Workshop will be taking a break in July for the annual UFVA Conference, but will resume in August.

This month’s film is:

Luminous by Sam Smartt (94 minutes) by Sam Smartt
Luminous tells the story of the first astronomer in history to publicly predict the near-future explosion of a star. But others in the astronomical community are skeptical, and Larry?s professional reputation hangs in the balance. In production since 2014, the film follows Larry Molnar’s five-year journey to make and test his unprecedented prediction, knowing that its success or failure will unfold squarely in the international spotlight.
