I’m Alice Bordignon, an intern of Working Title Film Festival, a Film Festival about Work.
The 5th edition of WTFF, a Film Festival about Work, will be held in Vicenza (Northern Italy, near Venice and Verona) from the 29th September to the 3rd October 2020.
We’ve launched a call for entries in order to select audiovisual works by young directors from all over the World, focusing on the theme of Work.
The international competition consists of three sections:
The Working Title Film Festival Award / Feature Films & Medium-length Films
Open to documentary films, feature films, animation films on the theme of Work, at least 31 minutes long, completed after the 1st January 2018
The Working Title Film Festival Award / Short Films
Open to documentary films, feature films, animation films on the theme of Work, lower than 30 minutes long, completed after the 1st January 2018
Open to experimental short-films, video art films, video clips on the theme of Work, without any limit of length, completed after the 1st of January 2018.
For all the sections, the festival will also accept audiovisual works that have already been screened before.
All the Italian-spoken films are required to have English subtitles, and all the films that are not in Italian are required to have Italian and/or English subtitles.
The essential requirement for both the sections is to deal with the theme of work. The work can be articulated in the past, present or future tense. The topics to deal with can be various, such as the stories of life and testimonies of current or disappearing jobs, the latest technological and social frontiers, precariousness and the lack of rights, rewarding stories, as well as intellectual and handcraft achievements.
The selected films will be screened in Vicenza at Sala Lampertico of Cinema Odeon and at the artistic space Extraworks during the festival. A jury consisting of film professional members will award the best film and could assign one or more honorable mentions.
